Privacy Policy
Effective date: [DATE]
DryLine ("DryLine," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of LumeVista Marketing LLC, a Washington State limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the DryLine website at drylineapp.com and the DryLine web application (together, the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who this policy is for
DryLine is a business tool for painting contractors. The Service is intended for businesses and people aged 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Account information. Your name, email address, and a password when you create an account. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see your plain-text password.
- Business information. Your company name, your role, the size of your crew, and similar details you provide while setting up and using DryLine.
- Job and location information. Details you enter about your painting jobs and job sites — including site addresses and approximate coordinates we use to provide weather information for that location.
- Your customers' information. When you save a job site, DryLine lets you store contact details for your customer (such as a name, phone number, email, or address). This information is provided by you, about your own clients. See "Information about your customers" below for how responsibility for that data works.
- Time and crew records. Clock-in and clock-out times, hourly rates you set, and — only if you enable it — approximate GPS coordinates captured at clock-in or clock-out.
- Billing information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. DryLine does not receive or store your full payment card number. We retain limited billing details such as your subscription tier, status, and renewal dates.
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact us for support or otherwise reach out.
Information we collect automatically:
- Usage and log data. Basic information about how you use the Service, such as pages viewed and actions taken.
- Device and connection data. Information such as your IP address, browser type, and device type.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See the "Cookies and tracking" section below.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including the weather-intelligence features that compare live and forecasted conditions against your scheduled jobs;
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- Process subscriptions, payments, and renewals;
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- Monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service;
- Send you service-related messages (for example, account, security, or billing notices); and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers (subprocessors). We use trusted third parties to run the Service. They may process your information only to provide services to us. Our current and planned providers include:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and backend hosting (stores most of your account and app data).
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- OpenWeatherMap — weather data. We send location queries (such as a city or coordinates) to retrieve forecasts and conditions.
- Vercel (planned) — web application hosting.
- A transactional email provider (planned, e.g., Resend or Postmark) — to send account, security, and billing emails.
- An analytics provider (planned) — to understand product usage. See "Cookies and tracking."
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DryLine, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If LumeVista Marketing LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
Information about your customers
DryLine lets you store information about your own customers (for example, a homeowner's name, address, or phone number). That information belongs to you and your business. You are responsible for having the appropriate rights and permissions to enter it into DryLine and for using it in compliance with applicable law. As to that customer data, DryLine acts on your behalf as a processor and uses it only to provide the Service to you.
Cookies and tracking
DryLine uses cookies and similar technologies. Today these are primarily essential cookies — for example, the session cookies our authentication provider uses to keep you signed in. The Service cannot function properly without these.
We plan to use analytics (for example, a privacy-focused analytics tool or Google Analytics) to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. When we do, this section will be updated to name the provider, and we will provide any opt-out mechanism required by applicable law. Most browsers let you control or refuse non-essential cookies through their settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or maintain business records (for example, billing history). Weather records associated with a job are designed to be kept as a historical record for warranty and liability purposes.
Your choices and rights
- Access and update. You can view and update most of your account and business information directly in the Service.
- Delete your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us at hello@drylineapp.com. We will delete or de-identify your information, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it. Some records (such as billing history) may be retained as required.
- Marketing emails. If we send marketing emails, you can opt out using the unsubscribe link in those emails. We will still send you service-related messages.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security in our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Where your information is processed
DryLine is operated in the United States, and our service providers may process and store information in the United States. DryLine is intended for users in the United States.
Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@drylineapp.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
